I am a librarian by day and love to cook when I can.
Why I blog about cooking.
For as long as I can remember I would spend time in the kitchen with my mom. My mom was not an adventurous cook but I enjoyed helping her and eventually cooking an entire meal by myself.
I enjoy trying new techniques and flavors. I think cooking does not have to become a drudgery and with a willingness to experiment a meal can be both favorable and simple to make.
My son moved into an apartment and was more interested in cooking so I wanted a place to share my recipes and cooking techniques.
I enjoy reading cookbooks and learning new cooking techniques. Some of the recipes I have included are adapted from other recipes, some my own creation. Over the years I have taken cooking classes at our local Cook’s Ware and online through Craftsy.
My first cookbook was Betty Crocker’s Cook Book for Boys and Girls.
